An exciting exhibition of new art work by two established artists
Ziva Eisenberg and Susan O’Brien Oliver.
Susan O’Brien Oliver is currently working on an exploration of Still Lifes. Inspired be the art of Morandi, Susan is trying to establish relationships between form and colour using defined objects and creating spaces in which there is movement and at the same time, a stillness.
The cityscapes have also developed from small blocks of colour that have become more complex and less formal. Susan works primarily in Acrylics.
Ziva Eisenberg depicts the female figure in a unique and unconventional method. Using the torn paper as a metaphor for the human being, as the paper and the skin share similar qualities. On the paper Ziva uses unconventional pigments such as make-up powder to emphasise or disguise the image.
In the new artwork Ziva continues to use unorthodox pigments such as ‘tea’ and variety of fluid pigments.
